Good Morning America Airs Inspirational Segment About Three Female Collections Drivers in Georgia

Good Morning America (GMA) ran a very inspirational segment this week that focused on three female drivers from Athens-Clarke County (ACC) in Georgia. The segment starts with a “Slow Down to Get Around” sticker on the side of a truck, and includes live interviews with the featured women.

The hosts described the solid waste industry as “essential” during the pandemic. SWANA is identified in the segment as the source of information regarding the increase in residential trash during the pandemic.
