SWANA Mid-Atlantic Chapter to Host Managing Recycling Systems Certification Course

The SWANA Mid-Atlantic Chapter is hosting the SWANA Managing Recycling Systems course at Prince George’s County Material Facility in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The 3-day course will take place April 20-22. An exam will be held on April 23.

The Managing Recycling Systems course focuses on recycling materials found in municipal solid waste (MSW) generated from residential, commercial and institutional sources, not including hazardous wastes, household hazardous wastes or special wastes. The course provides information on successfully planning, developing, marketing, and managing recycling programs. Managing Recycling Systems also addresses collection, processing, application of end-use standards and protection of human health and the environment.
